Balancé is a Surf & Yoga Retreat on the beach in Playa El Tunco, El Salvador. The hotel includes 8 private suites, and a separate 3 bedroom villa. 5 suites sit facing the surf break at La Bocana, with 3 other suites located under the shade of our mango tree near the yoga studio. Balancé stands out from the rest of the hotels in the area because we’re waterfront to one of the best surf breaks in the country, a short walk to all of the great food and nightlife options in El Tunco, but far enough away from the restaurants and bars that you will always have a peaceful, noise-free stay. Our tropical design is modern, creative, and perfect for a high-vibe getaway in El Salvador. Each room option shows the specific amenities available, but generally all of the rooms come with hot water showers, A/C premium bedding and linens, a mini fridge, and a private terrace with outdoor space and a hammock. The property has a beautiful pool facing our garden space and the surf, while the villa also includes its own private plunge pool and garden.

As a Yoga Retreat center, we have a one-of-a-kind yoga studio with regularly scheduled yoga classes taught by one of the best yoga teachers you’ll ever encounter – Lindsay Gonzalez. You can book a nightly (3-night minimum) or weekly stay when we don’t have retreats scheduled, or you can sign up for one of our yoga retreats on the Balancé website here.

Balancé is located just 45 minutes away from the airport. The property has parking for some guests, and a separate parking lot available with secure, ample parking space a few doors down. The majority of our guests come without a vehicle, and we have 24/7 service to the airport for your airport pickup and dropoff, and experienced surf guides for those that want to explore other surf breaks nearby. On site parking is on a reservation basis and first-come first-served. We highly recommend not renting a car, as you’ll find it unnecessary once you are here. You can walk to the surf, restaurants and everything you need, and you can explore the coast affordably with our awesome team of surf guides.

Rates per night include Balancé’s signature healthy gourmet morning snack for each guest and the total rate for this room is not based on headcount. Our morning snack is similar to a continental breakfast and is available from 6am – 7:45am daily. The snack spread includes coffee, tea, fresh fruit, our homemade granola and fresh baked bread, and a daily detox juiced drink. Breakfast and lunch are available a-la-carte off the café menu and are not included in the room rate. Café hours are from 8am – 4pm daily

The Fuego Suite is one of the premium suites at our yoga retreat. This room comes with 1 King bed and faces the Bocana Surf break on the 2nd story. The Viento Suite is one of the premium suites on our property. This room comes with the option for 1 King bed and 1 twin bed, OR three separate twin beds, and faces the Bocana Surf break on the 2nd story. The Jacaranda Suite is located adjacent to, but separate from our Villa, and located next to our Jacaranda tree. This room comes with 1 queen bed, a private bathroom, and a private terrace. Villa Escondida
Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath private villa is located behind our yoga studio and includes a full kitchen, a private pool and deck, and an incredible outdoor shower. Inside the villa, the master bedroom comes with 1 king bed or an option for two twin beds, and the second bedroom comes with just a queen bed. The villa has a beautiful kitchen and a spacious living room overlooking the deck, pool, and garden. Each room has a closet / organizer, and a secure safe. Outside, there is a private plunge pool, deck, green space, and a beautiful outdoor shower adorned in volcanic rocks and a rack for your surfboards. All rooms at Balancé come with hot water showers, lush bedding, and linens, air conditioning, and fast Wi-Fi internet, and come stocked with purified drinking water that we keep refilled throughout your stay. If you have a bigger group, you can add the Jacaranda Suite to your reservation at the time of booking to get an extra room with a queen bed and 1 bathroom. The Jacaranda suite is next to but separate from the Villa and makes for a convenient add-on if you need 3 bedrooms.
