Just minutes away from Playa El Tunco are a series of fun, crystal spring waterfalls that deserve your visit. The Tamanique waterfalls won’t cut into your surfing schedule, as this trip is only a 25 minute drive from the beach. It requires a hike so please be prepared for a steep walk and bring good footwear. It takes about 30 minutes to hike down to the waterfalls from town. On the way, let the locals regale you with stories of years living in a surf paradise. Then dive into the cool pools and take a break from the tropical heat. For larger groups we can cater a lunch to bring with you. This trip requires a $2.50 park entrance fee at Tamanique, and it is included in the online price paid at time of booking.
