The crystal clear spring-fed waterfalls of Tamanique are a local favorite. A jump into the cools pools below the falls is an ideal way to cool off on a warm afternoon. Here at Playa El Tunco / Sunzal we are only a 20-minute drive from the entrance at the village of Tamanique in the steep mountains between San Salvador and the Pacific coast. From Tamanique, it's just a short hike to the waterfalls.

If you're brave, you can take a leap from drop 3, almost 40 feet above the water!
